The gay marriage debate is no longer just about civil rights for a minority group of Americans. The gay marriage debate is about the vary foundations of our government. Should we maintain our system of religious freedom by granting ULC ministers and other religions the right to perform legally recognized same-sex marriages? Or should we throw the First Amendment away just so those who do not agree with same sex marriage can get there way? Are you willing to take the risk that your religious perspective will survive without the First Amendment? I’m not.
